Christine is currently studying fashion design at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia, PA,
the first and only women’s Art and Design College in the nation. As a child, her parents, older brother,
and other family members had great interest and passion for the arts. It was through her family that
Christine began her own journey to discovering her own glowing passion for the arts. She attended Summer
Art Camp for two years, joined Art clubs and participated in projects during elementary through junior
high school, and studied in Advanced art class during High School. Christine believes that creating and
studying art has allowed her to greater understand life in general. Through the creation process she has
learned to be patient and flexible, to problem solve and countless other skills, though most importantly
she has learned to be confident in her abilities and to persevere when times are tough. She believes
that creative thinking is just as important as critical thinking, and that both coincide with each other.
In her junior year of College, Christine hopes to land an internship with the Children’s Place or another
major Children’s Wear Company to continue her passion of the Arts. She has high expectations for this Pilot
program and for Aspire Arts Inc., a wonderful organization that recognized a problem and chooses to actively
pursue a solution.
