Dan Newcomer

Dan Newcomer is currently a graphic design major at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He has worked the three years of college for the UArts Pre-College Program, helping high school level students with software and design. Dan's fascination with the visual arts began with his love of comic book illustrations and panel layouts. He credits his first brush with graphic design to his sixth grade job fair where the designer for the B-52's record covers spoke to his science class. Although that was a big inspiration, It is the level of social and emotional communication found in documentarian writing, design, and film-making that has motivated Dan to follow the arts as a career path.

Dan sees the potential and value in Aspire Arts and it's altruistic goal of motivating artists and communities to build and give back. Dan has spent the past eight years working in Philadelphia and has internship experience with 160over90, CerealArt, and most recently Blue Cadet Interactive. He is very excited to create positive and enduring work that speaks not only to the art community but also to the world that
we live in.
