Facts And Questions

Why does Aspire
need my money?
Why not just apply
for grant money?

Good Question! Until we receive our non-profit status, Aspire is not eligible to apply for grants. The fees associated with applying for a non-profit status
(including attorney fees and the application fees)
will cost us approx. 3,000-4,000 more dollars.

I don’t have much money to give. Does my gift really
make any difference?

You bet it does! Once Aspire becomes an official non-profit organization we will need to show proof that we have the support of the community and that a majority of the gifts come from a majority of the people

Can I make my gift in honor of, or in memory
of, someone else?

Absolutely. Just be sure to include
that information with your gift.

Can I designate my gift
to a specific project?

Sure! Just be sure to let us know to which program
(theater, music, education outreach) you would like
your gift to be applied to.

There are so many good causes to give to. Why should I give to Aspire?

We believe in our mission so much that we’ve spent thousands of our own dollars to get it off the ground.

All of the staff and board members work on a volunteer basis and most are students or recent graduates.

We also work full time jobs in addition to running Aspire and frequently work all night long, only to go back to our “regular jobs” at 9am the next morning.

We’ve visited severely under served high schools that have less than a 50% retention rate and almost no arts based after school activities.

Who can I contact if I have questions about giving?
