Liz Thomas
Elizabeth is originally from Malvern, a suburb of Philadelphia. She moved to Philadelphia four years ago to study visual art
at the University of the Arts, where she is currently a senior.
Elizabeth has grown up in an environment very supportive of the arts. Coming from a family of artists, art was, and still is,
seen as a wonderful road to expression. It was through the care, nurture, and exposure from her family and friends that Elizabeth
also has found that passion for art in her life. Elizabeth is the fourth generation that has attended the University of the Arts
for visual arts. Her great grandmother and grandmother went to the University for illustration, and her mother graduated with a
BFA in sculpture. Elizabeth is studying to receive a BFA in Sculpture and a concentration in Art Therapy. She is interested in
many different mediums, however figurative sculpture, stone carving, woodcarving, and ice are becoming more of a focus in her artwork.
Elizabeth plans to attend graduate school for art therapy in the future. She is very excited to see where this road leads to in the future.
