Vuong Tong

Vuong Tong is currently a graphic design student at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. His passion for the arts began he was a young child drawing cartoons in hundreds of sketchbooks. As a native Philadelphian, he had access to Philadelphia Dept. of Recreation's Summer Art Camp and entered their program as a student from 1998–2000. In the summer of 2006, he returned to the Summer Art Camp as a printmaking instructor teaching children between eight and ten years of age. Vuong also became a Peer Mentor his sophomore at UArts, helping incoming freshmen develop positive study and life habits as a foundation for their collegiate successes. Vuong attributes his positive thinking and leadership to his two younger sisters and parents.

In the summer of 2007, Vuong has interned at Allemann, Almquist, and Jones, a graphic design and communications firm in Philadelphia, PA. Vuong hopes to travel the world and be immersed in other cultures. He looks ahead to the positive change that Aspire Arts Inc. will bring to the Philadelphia's art scene: a change that will make Philadelphia a force to be reckoned with.
