Making a Difference Together

In addition, students are actively involved in planning new community engagement projects, bringing more meaning to each event.

Art Exhibitions
Exhibitions provide the opportunity to publicly support our artists and their work. ASPIRE continually pursues new avenues to highlight their artwork, including group exhibitions, juried art contests, and more. Artwork is often for sale, and gives our artists an opportunity to earn a commission.

Public Performances
ASPIRE provides several opportunities for students to perform for the public. Included in these performances are the OCAD Festival, open house events, and our annual Christmas Show, which has become a beloved holiday tradition for many in the community.

In the Community
Memorable and unique trips are planned throughout the year. Some of our favorite past experiences include performances at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts, hiking at Oak Canyon Nature Center, and a behind-the-scenes tour at Angels Stadium.

Community Exchange
ASPIRE collaborates with local performers in Community Exchange events, which allows students and guests to perform for each other, as well as engage in group discussions after the performance. These events provide educational performing experiences while increasing public awareness about our students' abilities.

Guest Artist Workshops
Local guest artists are invited to ASPIRE to demonstrate their talents through visual art, performance or music workshops. They introduce our students to new art forms and enrich their artistic journeys.
Giving Back Projects
ASPIRE offers meaningful opportunities for our students to share their talents with the community. Past Giving Back projects include, performing for students with severe disabilities at Canyon Hills School, and donating our sewn baby quilts to Crittenton for mothers-in-need.
